We look forward to welcoming you to the 20th Open Access Days at Johannes Kepler University (JKU) in Linz in September 2026. Further information on submissions and registration will be announced in due course and made available on this page.
The Open Access Days are the central annual conference on the topic of open access in German-speaking countries. It is aimed at anyone involved with the possibilities, conditions, and perspectives of scientific publishing. This includes scientists and employees of libraries and other scientific infrastructure institutions, as well as members of scientific administration and publishers.
Johannes Kepler University Linz offers a modern and open setting for the Open Access Days. As a campus university with a clear focus on innovation and interdisciplinarity, JKU is ideally suited for exchanges on open science. The city of Linz complements this setting with its mix of culture, technology, and science—a place where future topics can be seen and experienced.
You can easily reach JKU via tram lines 1 and 2, as well as several bus lines, all of which depart from Linz Central Station.
You can find the route on Google Maps.
